  3. INTRODUCTION

  5. Thank you for using the Bible ABC1 program.
  6. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids 
  7. Series software.  The Bible ABC1 program 
  8. teaches children the alphabet through three 
  9. groupsof pictures: Bible objects and 
  10. characters, animals, and common objects.  As 
  11. with other Kidvision Software programs, the 
  12. Bible ABC1 program is intended to educate 
  13. young children about the Bible through 
  14. colorful pictures and music.  Kids are able 
  15. to learn the Bible while having fun learning 
  16. to use the computer, with the mouse and 
  17. keyboard to play the games. The selected songs 
  18. are popular Bible songs which are fun and 
  19. easy to learn.

  22. INSTALLATION
  23.  
  24. The program disk comes with an automatic setup 
  25. program that will install the Bible ABC1 game
  26. in your Windows(TM) Program Manager.  The program
  27. comes with its own icons.  After installation, you 
  28. can move the icons to any program group you prefer.  
  29. The default directory for the setup program is 
  30. c:\BibleKid.  If you want to change the directory, 
  31. you are allowed to do so during the setup 
  32. procedures.

  34. To run the setup program, you must follow these
  35. procedures:
  36.  
  37. 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\
  38. 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run
  39. 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup
  40. 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  43. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  44.  
  45. IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster 
  46. processor.  EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor.  Windows 3.1 
  47. or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media extension)
  48. with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse is a must.  
  49. The program will play all sound and music through 
  50. your sound card.

  53. INSTRUCTIONS
  54.  
  55. The Bible ABC1 program is a very user-friendly
  56. program which requires minimal computer knowledge 
  57. to play.  However, children under the age 
  58. of 3 may need to be guided by an adult.

  61.     To start the program
  62.  
  63. At the Windows Program Manager screen, double-click
  64. the Bible ABC1 icon in the Super Bible Kids group.
  65. An introduction screen will come up to display 
  66. several messages and music will be played in the
  67. background.  The main program screen will then be 
  68. displayed.

  72.     To start the game
  73.  
  74. Using the mouse or keyboard, select a letter from 
  75. the alphabet.  A realistic voice will say the letter, 
  76. followed by four consecutive pictures with their 
  77. respective word(s) and sound.  After the pictures have 
  78. been displayed, a portion of a Bible song will play.  
  79. The Bible song will be different for each time you 
  80. select another letter.

  85. At the conclusion of the music, the child can select 
  86. another letter by using the mouse or the keyboard.  
  87. A new group of pictures and sound will be displayed 
  88. for the selected letter.

  91.     To see information about the picture
  92.  
  93. An additional feature of the Bible ABC1 program
  94. allows the child to click the pictures on
  95. the screen to display written information about
  96. the pictures.  (A text box will come up on the 
  97. screen to briefly explain the picture.)

  100.     To see information about the program

  102. Click the "?" - help button using the mouse or 
  103. press <ALT> <H> using the keyboard.  The screen 
  104. will display the help file about the program.  
  105. You can print this help file using the Windows
  106. Notepad, Write or other compatible programs.

  109.     To stop the music
  110.  
  111. Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button.  You 
  112. can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard
  113. to stop the music.

  116.     To exit the program
  117.  
  118. Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign).  The 
  119. program will return you to the Program Manager.

  122.     To play other Super Bible Kids games
  123.  
  124. The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other 
  125. Super Bible Kids games.  Click this button and the 
  126. Super Bible Kids main menu will display.  If you do 
  127. not have other games installed, clicking the 
  128. uninstalled game buttons will display a message 
  129. indicating that you have not installed those games.  
  130. (For your information, we are planning more than eight 
  131. games in the Super Bible Kids series.)

  134.     To order the full version or other programs

  136. If your program is a shareware version, only less 
  137. than half of the picture groups will be activated.  
  138. For a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software
  139. to order or print the Register.wri file using the 
  140. Windows(TM) Write program.  Attached a check or 
  141. money order with the register form and send it to 
  142. the address below.  Your program(s) will be shipped 
  143. as soon as your order has been received.
